Book Spotlight: Disgraceland by Jake Brennan

As someone who's interested in both true crime and music, I was pretty sure I'd enjoy Jake Brennan's Disgraceland: Musicians Getting Away with Murder and Behaving Very Badly , and it did not disappoint! In this book, Brennan tells some fascinating stories about Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Axl Rose, Chuck Berry, and more, and his writing style really pulled me into the story and made me feel like I was there, witnessing the events in person. I enjoyed the whole book, but the most interesting chapter was the one about Jerry Lee Lewis. Of course I knew about Jerry Lee marrying his 13-year-old cousin, but I had no idea that he possibly murdered one of his other wives and got away with it or that he rammed his car into the gates of Graceland one night, threatening to assassinate Elvis. In Bed with Nick and Megan: Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark

I just discovered that the delightful and hilarious Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally have a podcast, In Bed with Nick and Megan , and was excited to find out that they welcomed My Favorite Murder 's Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark into their bed on the January 5th episode. I thought my fellow Murderinos might be interested in listening to it, so of course I had to share the link here. Enjoy! 😃 Murder with Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark

Book Spotlight: Stay Sexy and Don't Get Murdered by Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark

I started listening to My Favorite Murder  a few months ago and immediately became obsessed with it, so of course I had to buy Stay Sexy and Don't Get Murdered , which is a dual memoir by the podcast's amazing hosts. Karen and Georgia talk about their successes, therapists, true crime obsessions, and things they've learned from their mistakes, and they give great advice about how to "fuck politeness," avoid joining a cult, be a latchkey kid, and more. If you love My Favorite Murder  as much as I do, you've got to read this book...you'll learn a lot about Karen and Georgia and learn some valuable life lessons in the process. My rating: 8.5/10 Visit  myfavoritemurder.com  to listen to the podcast, join the Fan Cult (the only kind of cult you should join), or buy merchandise that will make you the envy of your fellow Murderinos.
