If you love Netflix's Mindhunter as much as I do, you might be interested in learning about the real serial killers and FBI agents who inspired the series. Of course we all know about Charles Manson, Dennis Rader (the BTK killer), and Richard Speck, but here's some interesting info about the less infamous people who were inspirations for the fascinating characters on Mindhunter.

I've been wanting to read Elizabeth Kendall's The Phantom Prince: My Life with Ted Bundy  for years, so when it was re-released a few months ago, I had to buy it. Unraveled: The Long Island Serial Killer

I reviewed Billy Jensen's book, Chase Darkness with Me , on the blog back in 2019, and I'm also a fan of the podcast he co-hosts with Paul Holes, Jensen & Holes: The Murder Squad . Now Jensen has a new project, Unraveled: The Long Island Serial Killer , which is available in podcast form and as a special on Discovery+. Unraveled  is described as "a search for answers in one of the biggest murder mysteries in American history," and Jensen and his co-host, Alexis Linkletter, tell the story of an unsolved case involving 11 murdered women and a corrupt police chief. This case is also the subject of the 2020 Netflix film "Lost Girls," and if you liked that, you'll definitely want to check out Unraveled .
